Donations

You know, it would probably be a lot easier to list what we DON’T need rather than what we DO need. If you have a dog or two running around the house, you know what it costs to feed them and provide them shelter and vet care – and do it the RIGHT way. Imagine now that you have anywhere from 75-100 dogs at any given time and you have to do the same thing. That is what we face every day. Remember – we are an ALL VOLUNTEER organization. No one here makes a dime. One hundred percent of anything donated to us goes DIRECTLY to aid a hound in need. Want to know how you can help?

• CASH:  🙂 Cash or monetary donations are ALWAYS welcome! Remember – we are a 501(c)3 and anything you donate is tax-deductible! With cash, you don’t have to guess what we can use or worry about sending materials through the mail. We can just go and pick up what we need! • TIME: The feeding, bathing, and caring for 75 dogs is a monumental task. We are also involved in transport, doing vet and house checks, maintaining websites and social media, etc. If you’re in the area and want to come out and pitch in (and get loved on by 75 Basset Hounds), we would LOVE to have you! If you’re further away, we can figure out a way you can help. Either way, just contact us!

• MATERIALS: It takes a LOT of stuff to do this. A lot of what, you ask? A lot of EVERYTHING. What is it that we need the most? Funny you should ask! Here’s a list of things we ALWAYS need:

• OUR WISH LIST: In a perfect world, our fairy dogmother would float down, wave a wand, and any of the following would be AMAZING in helping to sustain what we are doing at Daphneyland.
  

  Trailer/Toy Hauler/RV – needed for the Covid yard as a weather-protected are for adoptions.

  Cement Work – needed in the Covid yard as well as a parking pad for the evacuation vehicle.

  Tractor – with front end loader, box scraper, and/or backhoe attachment.

  Contractor – needed to bring power/water to our Covid yard.

  Water Tank Replacement.

  Pickup ranch truck.

  Golf cart or side-by-side.
