Boarding
Daphneyland's Boarding Contract
Daphneyland is a basset rehabilitation and socialization center as most of you know, but just what exactly does that mean?
Most rescue bassets come to us through rescue groups who do not have enough foster homes and cannot afford the high cost of boarding at various facilities throughout the Los Angeles and surrounding communities. We are breed-specific and have worked with over 1,000 basset hounds, hands on.
Through group socialization and playtime, we are able to help rehabilitate and correct some of the problems that today's society creates on the homeless hound. We do this primarily through volunteerism, thanks to many wonderful folks who have always handled the hounds, and still continue to do so.
We have added boarding of previously adopted hounds and the general public, in order to help pay the cost of running the ranch. Now that Daphneyland can offer public boarding, this helps cut the costs to the rescue group itself and allows more lives to be saved than ever before! Boarding hounds provide their own supplies as well as making donation to the rescue food bank - quality care, stress free environment, lots of play time, lots of belly rubbing - what could be better?
We still operate with the continuous need for volunteers. We definitely need helping hands with the hounds - a need whichhas grown along with the new rescue efforts!!
